Our aim at Ty Mikail is to provide an environment where children and young people feel safe and happy and their holistic physical, mental and emotional needs are met. The house provides spacious accommodation for up to three children / young persons in single rooms. It has been refurbished to a high standard and the house is fully double glazed and centrally heated.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room and dining room along with the kitchen and a toilet. Access to the garden is through a set of French doors from the dining room. There are three single bedrooms, two on the first floor which share a shower room, and a third on the second floor where there is also a bathroom with bath and shower.
The bedrooms are individually decorated to reflect the taste and needs of the occupant. Lockable doors ensure that privacy and dignity is maintained.
At the rear of the house is an extensive garden area which provides secure, enclosed leisure space. Locked storage facilities house cleaning and garden equipment and there is a large outbuilding. Security is an important consideration, and keypad locks are fitted to all external doors. CCTV cameras cover the back yard, side of the house and front door.
We provide full residential care and support including the administration of medication, personal care, and support to enable those in our care to play their part in the running of the home – cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc – and to access age appropriate educational, social and leisure opportunities.
