Mariam House

Mariam House is an end terrace house, situated in a residential street at the heart of the community in Barry. 

It is just a short walk away from the main shopping area, with access to a variety of shops and cafes.

Also close by is the local leisure centre, which offers facilities including a gym and a large swimming pool. Being a coastal town there are opportunities for seaside walks and to access all the facilities that the nearby resort at Barry Island offers.

Our aim at Mariam House is to create an environment that is a “home from home.”

We aim to provide high quality care and support in an environment that is safe and welcoming, where the individual is respected and their personal dignity is maintained at all times There are three single bedrooms, one on the ground floor and two upstairs, all of which are en suite. Communal spaces include a lounge and dining area, activity room and kitchen. To the rear of the house is a paved yard which provides an attractive outdoor space which is well used by residents.

Mariam House can provide 24 hour care and support for up to three adults

We provide a residential care and support package to suit the needs of the individual which includes help with personal care and the administering of medication where necessary.

We support individuals to make choices around, and play their part in, the running of the home and to access social and leisure opportunities. We ensure their health care needs are met, help is provided as necessary with regards to finance management, and generally work to help them build on independent living skills.
