Swan House

Swan House is a modern, homely residential children’s service based in Danescourt, Cardiff. Our aim is to provide an environment where children and young people feel happy, safe, and able to thrive, with their individual needs fully understood and met. The home offers spacious accommodation for up to three children within the main living area, along with one self‑contained unit designed to promote independence.

The ground floor features a bright and spacious living room and dining area, a well‑equipped kitchen, and a toilet. This floor also includes a dedicated sensory room, offering a calming and therapeutic space tailored to the needs of the children and young people. The self‑contained unit is also located on the main floor and includes its own kitchen, dining and living space, one bedroom, and a private bathroom.

On the second floor, there are three spacious bedrooms, each designed and furnished in a person‑centred way to reflect and support the needs of the individual child or young person. This floor also includes two bathrooms: one en‑suite and one dedicated shower room, ensuring comfort and privacy.

To the rear of the property, Swan House benefits from a large, secure garden that provides a safe outdoor leisure space for play, relaxation, and activities.

We provide full residential care and support, including the administration of medication, personal care, and day‑to‑day assistance. Children and young people are supported to take an active role in the running of the home—such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry—while also being encouraged and enabled to access age‑appropriate educational, social, and leisure opportunities within the community.
