This year’s St David’s Day celebration was a fantastic showcase of Welsh culture, creativity, and community spirit. Our event brought staff and the people we support together for a fun-filled event packed with activities that celebrated everything we love about Wales.
A Festive Welsh Atmosphere
The venue was decorated with bright daffodils, red dragons, and Welsh colours, creating a vibrant and welcoming setting. The energy throughout the event was brilliant, with everyone excited to take part in the celebrations.
Games and Activities
The party featured plenty of fun games that encouraged everyone to get involved, laugh, and enjoy the day together. The sense of teamwork and joy was clear to see everyone joined in with the activities.
Welsh Craft Stations
Our craft corner was particularly popular, offering hands-on creative fun inspired by Welsh culture. Activities included:
- Colouring Welsh-themed designs
- Making paper daffodils
- Creating simple Welsh crafts to take home
These stations offered a relaxing, creative space for everyone to express themselves.
Cupcake Decorating
Our baking area was all about decorating! Staff and residents enjoyed icing and decorating St David’s Day–themed cupcakes, adding dragons, daffodils, and colourful designs. The results looked amazing—and tasted even better!
A Wonderful Celebration of Welsh Culture
Overall, it was a brilliant event—full of creativity, connection, and Welsh pride. St David’s Day is an important celebration for many across Wales, and it was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the activities and taking part in a meaningful cultural event.
