Who we Support
Gofal Cymru Care Ltd was first established in April 2008 as an independent privately owned specialist health care provider offering bespoke residential care and rehabilitation services for younger adults (aged 16-65), with varying degrees of Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health Needs.
Timothy House was the first establishment opened, but the company gradually grew until by 2018 there were six homes in total.
Under RISCA they were all re-registered under the new category of adult services (18 and over) but in 2020 responding to identified need Ty Croeso and Ty Soberton were also registered for children.
The support packages offered grew to encompass complex care needs such as autism, acquired brain injury, challenging behavioural needs, personality disorders, bipolar condition, schizophrenia, Korsakoff syndrome. These have often been accompanied by underlying physical health conditions and since then our staff have gained experience of a wide range of conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, epilepsy, renal failure, Angelman Syndrome and Glycogen Storage Disorder
Whilst we do not provide nursing care our holistic approach to the well-being of residents ensures that their day to day physical health is monitored and their needs met and external guidance and support is sought wherever necessary.
As the number of homes and care staff employed has grown so we have adapted our corporate team to ensure an adequate level of assistance and expertise is provided for our managers and their staff with regard to HR, Health & Safety, legislation, and general
