Respite Service

We are able to offer a limited number of respite beds at Gofal Cymru Care, again for adults over the age of 18 with learning disabilities and / or mental health needs.

Individuals joining us for respite undergo the same assessment process before they come to us for the first time as permanent residents. This is in order to be certain we know what their needs are and that we can meet them.

They are cared for by the same well trained and qualified staff working across our care homes, and are assigned key workers and a core set of staff to ensure continuity.  Whilst individuals are with us we use the Active Support model to ensure we offer them every opportunity to develop their skills, pursue their interests and be as independent as they can.
