We encourage community participation and social inclusion along with the taking up of educational opportunities and individuals are encouraged to pursue their hobbies and interests inside and outside of the home.
Our regular “Monday Club” provides chance for individuals from across our care homes to get together and engage in a variety of activities. It involves the service users to perform different activities. In addition to this, it also helps individuals to build friendships and increase their confidence.
These activities can include arts and crafts, swimming, cycling, ten pin bowling; visits to the cinema, theatre or sporting events; meals out or visits to play bingo or to the local pub for a game of pool or even spot of table tennis, a game of dominoes, or just a quiet sit down with a cuppa and the paper both within the home and at our regular “Monday Club” provision. These activities are not confined to base, we often run trips to, for example, the zoo and organise outdoor activities such as sports days and barbecues.
